My Favorite Weeding Pen

I love using this tool for weeding. I prefer this Weeding Pen than the usual weeding tool that comes with the cutting machine. The tip of this is finer and sharper and punctures the vinyls better.

I just need to be careful with it. I’ve poked my self several times with this tool already. Bloody mess

Have you used this tool as well?

I’ve seen weeding pens in a ton of videos and have been wanting to try one. I’ll have to add it to my very long list of materials I want

I’ve tried but I really like the hook as I think it allows me to see the design a bit better when wedding. When I use the pen it’s like the pen is over the design and can’t see it. Maybe I should try again, I think it might be because I stand while I craft

I guess it’s the angle of it. I have poor eyesight and near sighted so what I’m weeding should be near my eyes to see them better. My eye grade is -550 & -575. I refuse to wear the bifocal lenses, I would feel to much of an old lady already

I place a light in front of the piece to weed, not directly above, to help me see the cutting lines.

It is a real size milimeter rule for my father’s circular cutting tool table, if the mm are real, imagine the lines. I think they are 0’3 mm… The trick to weed that is helping it by starting each difficult fringe before removing the piece. Also making little cuts with the scalpel so that you can slowly weed cm by cm. I use those tricks anyway all the time.

Look, I have this couple of mechanical pens I love, because they imitate a retro pencil, but they are plastic. The black one was not working for a while, but I didn’t want to dump it. So ai just used it to make my own weeding pen.

They are fitting perfectly my crafter’s storage bin!

I didn’t like the green weeders that came with my Crafter at first and bought a pack of 2 pin pens.
I’ve never really liked the straightness of the pin pens though, so when one of the pins snapped a few weeks ago, I went back to the green hook weeder. It wasn’t very sharp from new and always struggled to pierce the vinyl. After a light sanding with 180 and then 400 grit wet & dry sandpapers, this thing is SHARP!
I absolutely love it now and it makes weeding a breeze.
